Melissa was born in the South East of England and came to New Zealand on her OE in 2000 where she met her Kiwi Husband (good choice!). After a brief return to the UK they made New Zealand their home (smart move!) and moved to a lifestyle block in Okaihau in 2017. Melissa discovered a passion for accounting whilst raising their 3 children, and after doing the accounts at Playcentre she decided to start studying accounting from home. Melissa gained practical accounting experience with a Chartered Accountants firm in Kaitaia, where she specialised in setting up Xero files, Xero training and offering advice surrounding the package. After moving to Kerikeri she completed her Bachelor degree in business, majoring in accounting and management. Melissa is now looking forward to eventually earning her CA qualification. Like the rest of the team here at Spire, Melissa enjoys working with a wide range of clients with varying needs, helping them to achieve their goals and supporting them throughout. In her spare time Melissa enjoys spending time with her family. She has a passion for sports, mainly rugby, and enjoys watching the kids play sports at the weekend. In the summer months she loves spending days at the beach or in the garden.
